Tomorrow brings one of the biggest area tournaments of the wrestling season.
Bristol Central hosts the Bristol Central Invitational, which often brings in some of the state’s best programs. Central will be competing in the tournament, as will city rival Bristol Eastern.
There’s also strong programs such as Ledyard, Middletown and New Fairfield, along with local programs like Plainville and Terryville. Fairfield Ludlowe will also make the trip.
Local wrestlers predicted to make the finals are Central’s Chris Trelli at 106, Eastern’s Zac Thompson at 160 and Eastern’s Zach Marquis at 182. “CT Wrestling NEWS” predicts New Fairfield as team champion, followed in second by Eastern.
