NVL Indoor Track and Field championship meet held

The NVL held its indoor track and field championship meet last night at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.
The area had one individual winner, and that was senior Raymond Young of Wilby. Young won the 300-meter dash in 37.50 seconds.
The Wolcott boys 4×800 relay team of senior Justin Daly-Marshall, senior Michael Rapisarda, sophomore Alex Herren and sophomore Jonathon Maldonado was also victorious. The relay won their event in a time of 8:53.18.
Individual second place finishers from the area were: junior Cynthia Dias of Wolcott (55 hurdles); senior Asabi Ifafore-Angoy of Crosby (high jump); and senior Anthony Williams of Kennedy (55 dash).
Kennedy had the lone second place relay finish (senior Roshica Dehaney, senior Jadia Woods, senior Jessica JeanBaptiste and junior Leslie Dennis, 4×200).
Individual third place finishers were: senior Jonathan Serano of Crosby (55 dash); sophomore Kyle Hotchkiss of Kennedy (1000 meters); Maldonado of Wolcott (1600); sophomore Bryan Oliveira of Wilby (3200); 
Kennedy had the lone third place relay finish (Williams, sophomore Jaedon Wolfe, senior Shaheem Osbourne and Hotchkiss, 1600 sprint medley).
The top team finish from the area came from the Wolcott boys, who finished sixth out of 13 teams. Other local boys team rankings were as follows: 7. Wilby; t8. Crosby and Kennedy; t12. Holy Cross and St. Paul.
The top girls team finish was Wolcott, which finished eighth. Other local girls team rankings were as follows: t9. Kennedy and Crosby; 11. St. Paul.
