Road wins can be very satisfying.
When those road wins come against programs with great tradition, that’s just another feather in the cap.
Ninth-ranked Bristol Eastern picked up one of those victories Wednesday when it defeated Simsbury 42-35 at Simsbury High School. The Trojans may be struggling this season, but they’re still a tough out. It took Eastern until a pin in the final match to secure the win.
Hidekel Mangual came up with a huge pin for the Lancers. Also grabbing wins for Eastern were Jordon Champagne, Josh Wilson, Noah Corliss, Justin Marshall, Zac Thompson and Anthony Circosta.
Eastern goes to New Milford on Saturday for what should be a very competitive tournament.
