The St. Paul boys basketball team moved to within a win of state tournament qualification (7-6) with a NVL road win over Oxford Tuesday night.
Mike Palmieri led the way with 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. Ben Mazzone scored 11 points while Jackson Hines added 10.
St. Paul can clinch a state tournament berth Friday at home, but it will have to get past a tough Ansonia team first. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip.
