The St. Paul girls basketball team (17-1) is in a familiar position in its division.
Win tonight against Seymour (12-7) at Seymour High School, and the Falcons clinch the NVL Copper Division title. St. Paul is a perfect 7-0 in the division while Seymour comes in at 6-1.
When the two teams met on Jan. 8 in Bristol, the Falcons rolled to a 72-38 victory over the Wildcats. Seymour is 9-3 since that loss, and it would love to hand St. Paul its only defeat in the division. Doing so would clinch a tie for the division title.
The Falcons control their own destiny. A win tonight, and the Brass Division title is theirs, and theirs alone.
