For one night, the Wolcott boys basketball team was rooting for Watertown.
A win by the Indians over the Torrington Red Raiders on Thursday night in Torrington would give the Eagles a NVL Iron Division championship. Watertown won a close one, 55-52. Since Wolcott took both games against Watertown this season, the Eagles get the tiebreaker and win the NVL Iron Division title.
Wolcott finished 6-2 in division play and is 11-7 overall. The Eagles host Derby on Friday at 7 p.m., then finish the regular season at Crosby next Tuesday.
