ROUNDUP: St. Paul boys upset SMSA, Wilby downs New Fairfield, WCA eliminated

The No. 31 St. Paul boys basketball team upset No. 2 SMSA 50-46 in overtime in a Class S first round game in Hartford on Monday night.
Jackson Hines knocked down two foul shots with 2.9 seconds left to seal the victory for the Falcons, who move on to play No. 15 East Windsor on Wednesday night at East Windsor. 

No. 9 Wilby 72, No. 24 New Fairfield 56: The Wildcats downed the Rebels in a Class L first round game in the Reggie O'Brien Gymnasium.
Wilby will play No. 8 Bassick in a second round game on Wednesday at Bassick High School in Bridgeport.
No. 12 University 67, No. 21 Waterbury Career Academy 56: The Spartans saw their inaugural varsity season come to an end in a Class S first round game in Hartford.
Waterbury Career Academy finishes with a record of 11-10.
