Wolcott and Kaynor Tech combined for four Top 6 finishes in Tuesday’s Class M track and field state championship meet at New Britain’s Willowbrook Park.
The highest finish came from Wolcott sophomore Jonathan Maldonado, who was third in the 800-meter run. Kaynor Tech junior Jordon Wilkins was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles. Wolcott senior Cole Phelps finished fifth in the shot put, and Wolcott sophomore Kaitlyn Rosato tied for sixth in the high jump.
Kaynor Tech senior Ashante McFadden placed eighth in the shot put, sophomore Zyiera Brown was eighth in the 300 hurdles, junior Terrell Patterson took ninth in the 800, and sophomore Dominique Dildy was 10th in the 400 dash.

BOYS– (1. Northwest Catholic, 87 points); 20. Wolcott, 10; t21. Kaynor Tech, 6.
