Win or go home for Bristol Knights after loss to Brickhouse Indians

This was the not the start that the two-time defending champion Bristol Knights were hoping for.
After a rainout Wednesday, the Connecticut Twilight League’s top seed opened the playoffs last night at South Windsor’s Rotary Field against the Brickhouse Indians. Bristol couldn’t find its offense against Brickhouse pitcher Devin Over (10 strikeouts) and lost 8-0. Brian Penney had two RBI for the Indians.
It’s win or go home now for the Knights, beginning with tonight’s game (approximately 8 o’clock start) against the Elmer’s Silver Bullets. That’s the situation Bristol finds itself in after last night’s loss. The only way out of this situation is to win games and get to the best-of-three championship series. The Knights have made runs like this before, but they’ll need to dig deep and make plays.
