Former Bristol Eastern standout Kevin Rivers did what he could to give the York Revolution a win in Game 1 of their Freedom Division Championship Series against the Sugar Land Skeeters on Tuesday night.
Rivers drove in three runs in a 7-5 York loss. His solo home run in the the top of the fifth inning brought the Revolution to within a run of the Skeeters at 3-2. In the sixth, Rivers rapped a two-run single to put York ahead 5-4.

Game 2 of the best-of-five Atlantic League playoff series is this evening at Constellation Field in Texas.
