Mustapha Heron’s monster game for Auburn

Heron (Auburn athletics)

Mustapha Heron will return to Connecticut next month when Auburn takes on Oklahoma and UConn in a three-day span.
If the freshman left-hander continues to play like he has been, the Nutmeg State won’t be able to contain the hype.
Heron scored 24 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the field and grabbed 10 rebounds in a win over Eastern Kentucky last night. Heron proved how driven he is when he mentioned he was annoyed with his 7-for-13 performance from the foul line.
Auburn posted Heron up and allowed him to use his bulk and skill. For head coach Bruce Pearl to put that much faith in a freshman shows what he thinks of the player.
The Tigers play Oklahoma at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Auburn plays UConn at the XL Center on Dec. 23 at 2:30 p.m. There will be plenty of talk around that homecoming, especially if Heron continues to play like he did last night.
