STATE WRESTLING: Central’s Trelli second in Class L

Bristol Eastern wrestling captured the biggest headlines Saturday when it won the Class L state championship at Bristol Central High School. 

Bristol Central’s Mike Guzman, seen during the BC invite, finished fourth at 220 in Class L.

Bristol Central finished 16th as a team with 66.5 points. Christopher Trelli made it to the 106-pound final, where he lost a tough 1-0 decision to Fitch’s Jared Kosman. Mike Guzman finished fourth at 220 and will join Trelli at the State Open. 

CLASS S
St. Paul finished 19th as a team with 41 points. Matt Gray claimed a fifth place finish at 220 and will go to the State Open. 
Thomaston/Litchfield/Holy Cross was 26th with 11 points. None of the tri-op wrestlers finished in the Top 6.
