The Griz won their last two regular season games and earned a No. 5 seed in the Big Sky Conference tournament, which begins on Thursday. For the former Wilby star Wright, it will be his final postseason as a collegiate player.
What happened last week?
Weber State: The Griz claimed a close 78-74 win over the Wildcats on March 2, the first in Odgen, Utah, since 2004.
Wright played just nine minutes but scored 10 points during that time on 4-of-7 shooting. He was 2-of-2 from the foul line, pulled down a rebound and committed two personal fouls. Wright hit a jumper late in the first half to put Montana up 37-35, the margin at halftime.
Idaho State: The Griz smacked the Bengals 95-76 in Pocatello, Idaho, on March 4.
Wright played 16 minutes and again hit double figures with 11 points. He was 4-of-8 from the floor including 1-of-1 from the three-point line. Wright was 2-of-2 on free throws, grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, and turned the ball over once. Wright committed three fouls in the game.
The week ahead
Montana finished the regular season at 16-15 overall, 11-7 in the Big Sky Conference. The No. 5 Griz open the conference tournament against No. 4 Idaho, a team it split two regular season games against, on Thursday in Reno, Nev.

The Tigers had a brutally tough loss by a single point at Georgia, but ended the regular season with a home win over Missouri. Auburn will play that same Missouri team in the first SEC Tournament game of Heron’s career.
What happened last week?
Georgia: The Tigers rallied late on the road on March 1, but the Bulldogs pulled out a 79-78 win when an attemped 3-pointer fell off the rim.
Heron, the former Sacred Heart star, had 13 points on 4-of-12 shooting in 28 minutes played. He was 2-of-6 on 3-pointers and made 3-of-4 from the foul line. Heron had nine rebounds, four turnovers and committed four fouls.
Heron had a 3-pointer to give Auburn the lead with 3:24 left in the game, but the shot was no good.
Missouri: Auburn won the rematch between the Tiger clubs 89-78 at Auburn Arena on March 4, which was Senior Day.
Heron was nearly perfect, scoring 20 points on 6-of-7 shooting in 26 minutes. He was 3-of-3 from three-point range and 5-of-6 on foul shots. Heron scored 12 of his 20 in the first half on a perfect 5-of-5 (2-of-2 three-point range).
Heron had three rebounds, three assists, one turnover and committed three fouls.
The week ahead
Auburn finished the regular season 18-13 overall, 7-11 in SEC play. The Tigers are the No. 11 seed in the SEC Tournament and open play on Wednesday against No. 14 Missouri in Nashville, Tenn. Auburn won both regular season matchups.

The Minutemen hope for better results in the Atlantic 10 Championship after dropping their final two regular season games. Wednesday’s contest against Saint Joseph’s will be the first postseason game for the former Sacred Heart standout Flowers.
What happened last week?
Richmond: The Minutemen lost their last home game of the season to the Spiders by a count of 75-64 on March 1.
Flowers played 19 minutes but had just two points on 1-of-8 shooting. He was 0-of-5 from three-point land and pulled down one rebound. Flowers had three assists, one turnover, two steals and committed one foul.
St. Bonaventure: UMass had a chance, but lost its final regular season game 60-56 in St. Bonaventure, N.Y., on March 4. 
Flowers played a season-high 31 minutes and scored eight points on 3-of-4 shooting (2-of-3 on three-point attempts). He had one rebound, three assists, one turnover, one block and committed four fouls. Flowers had five of his eight points (2-of-2 FG, 1-of-1 3-PT), along with two assists, a block and a rebound, in the second half. All five of his points came within the first 5:12 of the second half.
The week ahead
UMass finished the regular season a disappointing 14-17 overall, including a brutal 4-14 in the Atlantic 10. The Minutemen open tournament play on Wednesday in Pittsburgh as the No. 12 seed against No. 13 Saint Joseph’s. UMass won both regular season meetings.
