During the fall, Edward Williams and Jordon Wilkins are teammates on the Sacred Heart/Kaynor Tech football co-op.

In the winter, Williams switches over to the Heart indoor track team, and Wilkins does the same with the Panthers.
On Saturday, the Waterbury duo got a chance to hang out again on New England’s biggest high school stage, the indoor track and field championships held annually at Boston’s Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
Those football teammates compete in the same indoor track and field event — the 55-meter hurdles. The senior Wilkins was the only one to make the finals, and he finished seventh out of the seven competitors who completed the race. Still, it was an honor for Wilkins to be in the final group in New England. Wilkins ran the race in 7.88 seconds.
As for Williams, the sophomore finished 15th in the preliminaries in 8.00 seconds. It may not have been what Williams wanted, but he still has two years left to improve on it.
For the football teammates, it must have been a fun experience to get together again and compete in the region’s biggest meet.
