One day after a wild 12-inning victory over Berlin, Bristol Post 2 saw its American Legion season end in a 5-0 loss to Southington Post 72 on Sunday at Southington High School.
Bristol managed just one hit off of two Southington pitchers in the Northern Division Sectional single elimination game. Post 72, the runner-up in Zone 1, will play Zone 1 champion Avon in a best-of-three beginning on Tuesday in Avon. Kenneth Knox Jr. took the loss on the mound for Bristol Post 2.
Southington scored one run in the first inning, three runs in the second, and one more run in the sixth. Bristol finished the season 19-9 overall.
