Bristol Post 2 will host Berlin in an American Legion Northern Division Sectional first round game on Saturday at Muzzy Field at 1 p.m.
Bristol is the No. 11 seed and Berlin is the No. 14 seed in this single elimination state tournament game. The teams didn’t meet during the regular season. Bristol finished third in Zone 1 and went 17-7 in the regular season. Berlin finished third in Zone 7 and went 15-8 in the regular season.
The winner of the Bristol-Berlin game will play No. 6 Southington on Sunday at 11 a.m. in another single elimination game at Southington High School. Southington finished second in Zone 1 with a record of 18-6.
The winner of Sunday’s single elimination game gets Avon in a best-of-three series that begins Tuesday in Avon. Avon won Zone 1 with a 19-5 record.
