Bristol Central senior Jaekwon Spencer joined the 1,000-point club in Tuesday night’s 53-51 home win over Hall.
Spencer erupted for 33 points, and he reached the career milestone with a 3-pointer in the third quarter. The six-foot-four forward has 1,020 points for his career. Spencer was lucky in that he was able to reach the milestone within the friendly confines of the Charles C. Marsh Gymnasium. He needed 13 points going into the game to get to 1,000.
Central only has one more home game this season, next Tuesday against Capital Prep at 6:45 p.m. The Rams, winners of 12 straight games, play at Plainville on Friday at 6:45 p.m.
