Bristol Eastern wrestling finishes another undefeated regular season, wins another CCC South title

Bristol Eastern wrestling defeated Bristol Central 58-13 on Thursday night at Bristol Central High School to complete a second straight undefeated regular season.
The Lancers finished the regular season at 15-0, 6-0 in the CCC South Division. Eastern has won 36 straight dual meets, a streak that goes back to 2016. The Lancers also wrapped up their seventh CCC South title in the past eight seasons.
Next up for Eastern is the CCC Tournament in Berlin, which begins today at 4:30 p.m. It continues Saturday at 9 a.m. This is the first full conference meet with all 26 teams, according to Connecticut Wrestling Online. The league used to have divisional tournaments, but one hasn’t been contested since 2011.
Eastern will be in Class L for the state meet, where it will try to win a second straight championship. That meet starts at 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 16.
