Junior Kerwin Prince had a monster double-double with 22 points and 20 rebounds in Crosby’s 75-54 win over Kennedy at The Palace on Tuesday night.
The Eagles jumped out to a 13-7 lead, but the Bulldogs closed the quarter with a 10-1 burst to claim a 17-14 advantage after one. A Justin Davis 3-pointer from the left wing before the buzzer accounted for the three-point lead.
Crosby (9-5) took control of the game just 59 seconds into the second quarter. The Bulldogs scored seven unanswered points and built a 24-14 lead. While Kennedy (3-12) rushed its shots, Crosby pounded the glass and Davis buried more 3-pointers. When Prince was fouled on a short bank near the basket, the Bulldogs led 31-18 with just over four minutes to go until halftime. Crosby didn’t look back.
Prince wasn’t the only Bulldog with a double-double. Markeese Days had 13 points and 12 rebounds while Davis provided 13 points and 10 assists.
Josiah Parilla led Kennedy with 12 points.
