St. Paul boys basketball welcomes back a big presence tonight in its 7 o’clock home game against Oxford.
Six-foot-five Darek Wiecki will play for the first time this season. Wiecki missed the first 14 games of the season while recovering from a torn ACL. Wiecki gives the Falcons some good size under the basket.
St. Paul is happy to have Wiecki back, and it also knows that there’s no place like home. The Falcons play five of their final six regular season games in the gym on Maltby Street, starting with tonight’s contest against Oxford.
St. Paul faces Oxford, Watertown (Friday) and Ansonia (Feb. 12) at home before going to Derby (Feb. 14) for the lone road game. The Falcons close the regular season back home against WCA (Feb. 20) and Crosby (Feb. 22).
