Bristol Central alum Adrian Wojnarowski helps cause for St. Bonnie tourney fans

Adrian Wojnarowski continues to make Bristol Central and the Mum City proud.
This tweet from Wojnarowski’s college Alma mater of St. Bonaventure University says it all.
“Thanks to @wojespn, class of ’91, and wife, Amy, ’92, for their generous gift that inspired 400+ alumni and friends of #Bonas to donate thousands to send busloads of students to our game and to support a watch party for students in the university Rathskeller,” read the tweet on the St. Bonaventure athletics Twitter account.
The St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team is playing against UCLA in the First Four of this year’s NCAA Tournament tonight at 9:10 at the University of Dayton. All Wojnarowski and his wife did was donate $10,000 toward the purchase of tickets and buses to get students out to Dayton, Ohio, for the game, according to a tweet from Gary Parrish of CBS.
Wojnarowski is the Senior NBA Insider for ESPN. And oh yeah, he’s a former Ram, Class of 1987. Wojnarowski got his first taste of sports news as the sports editor of the school newspaper. In 2005, Bristol Central honored Wojnarowski as the first recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award.
