Sacred Heart’s Isiah Gaiter made it two MVPs in one night at CHSCA all-star games

Sacred Heart’s Isiah Gaiter was a stat sheet filler in his time with the Hearts,
and it was more of the same in the CHSCA large-school all-star game.
Gaiter joined St. Paul’s Tyler Arbuckle with game MVP honors.

It turns out St. Paul’s Tyler Arbuckle wasn’t the only MVP to come out of last Thursday’s Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star Festival at Meriden’s Maloney High School.
Another lefty, Sacred Heart’s Isiah Gaiter, put together a triple-double of 31 points, 18 rebounds, 11 assists — plus four blocks and two steals — for Team Pequot in the large-school game against Team Mohegan. Thank you to Sacred Heart alum Freddie Feliciano and assistant coach Jay Seay for the information.
Gaiter was a stat sheet filler in his two seasons as a Heart, so Thurday’s performance came as no surprise. And his effort meant that two local NVL players earned MVP honors on the same night. It was a good night for area basketball.
